Legacy IT and Incomplete Data Structures

Initial data analysis quickly showed that automating the migration of product data from the old PIM to Akeneo wasn't a feasible option. Thus, the team crafted a new, comprehensive product data model tailored to dental bauer's needs and future plans.

This new data model greatly simplifies data management within the PIM system. Details like technical specifications, dimensions, colors, and ingredients, plus usage data, enable staff to organize and launch products in the market much more quickly. This wealth of information aids customers in making informed buying decisions.

After assessing the existing infrastructure and developing a new data model, we implemented the Akeneo PIM tool. To ensure continuity, it was initially run parallel to the old system before eventually getting replaced. Turbine Kreuzberg also managed its integration with other systems.

The outcome: streamlined product data management. With standardized attributes and product variants, items are easier to locate and organize, and data enrichment is automated. Akeneo's user-friendly interface simplifies grouping and harmonizing product experiences.

This new structure model boosts data quality and consistency.
