CoreMedia offers more than a powerful content management system (CMS) - as a digital experience platform (DXP), it is suitable for everything between simple websites and complex digital experiences. It provides a hybrid headless architecture that gives you the flexibility to design and manage content independently of the front end. The platform also allows seamless integrations with existing systems and offers over 150 pre-built connectors to third-party systems.
How It Works
- CoreMedia is divided into two main environments: the content management environment, where content is created and managed, and the content delivery environment, where content is deployed.
- CoreMedia Studio: A user-friendly interface for content creation and management. Editors can edit and publish content directly there.
- Headless server: Content is provided as JSON data via a GraphQL interface, enabling the use of any desired front end technology. Changes can be displayed and edited directly in CoreMedia Studio.
- Personalization: The Personalization Hub offers both client-side and server-side personalization options. This makes it possible to deliver relevant content based on user profiles, preferences and behaviors.
- Content storage: Content is stored in relational database systems. Large files can be stored in the file system. User-generated content is stored in a MongoDB database.
- Search function: CoreMedia uses Apache Solr as the default search engine, which can be used by both editors and applications. It is also possible to integrate other search engines.
- E-commerce integration: CoreMedia can be connected to e-commerce systems via the Commerce Hub. Content from the commerce server is referenced and resolved on delivery.
- User management: CoreMedia Content Cloud has integrated user management and also supports LDAP servers.
