A modern foundation for a historic club
hsv.de is the primary digital touchpoint for fans, press, and the public — covering live scores, club news, video content, and thousands of archived articles. Turbine Kreuzberg is migrating the platform to a headless architecture built on Storyblok CMS and a modern frontend stack, with speed, accessibility, and editorial capability as the benchmarks. The Berlin agency brings deep CMS expertise across content architecture, UI design, and the migration of more than 15,000 existing articles.
AI Engineering as a development method
Turbine Kreuzberg is building the new HSV website AI-first throughout. Component development, CMS integration, migration strategy, and QA are all driven and iterated through structured AI use. Tickets are generated from a versioned knowledge-base repository, keeping the entire development process transparent and traceable. The approach is already running in production, with high development velocity and consistent code quality.
A further technical requirement is live sports data integration: scores, tables, squad information, and statistics flowing into the site in real time, which demands both technical precision and experience with sports APIs.
Development underway, MVP launch in sight
The project kicked off in March 2026 with the development of an MVP, the basis from which the new hsv.de will be built out incrementally. Turbine Kreuzberg is accompanying the club from technical setup and content migration to editorial onboarding of the HSV team. Launch is planned for summer 2026.
Michael Scharold, Director Corporate Development, HSV: “HSV.de is the first port of call for millions of fans. Turbine Kreuzberg won us over with their architecture expertise, their AI-driven development process, and their direct, no-overhead way of working — exactly what we need for a fast, successful relaunch.”
Stefan Müller-Dürholt, Director Tech Strategy & Growth, Turbine Kreuzberg: “Turbine Kreuzberg has been building digital platforms for more than 25 years, and AI Engineering isn't a trend for us — it's how we work. HSV's confidence in our approach reflects how seriously the club thinks about technology. These are exactly the kinds of partners we want to work with.”
