Turbine Kreuzberg & amec automate B2B procurement with AI

Berlin, 24 April 2026. amec sources electronic components for manufacturers and industrial customers worldwide – through a global partner network, previously managed via email, Excel, and manual effort at every step. Turbine Kreuzberg is building a sourcing platform for amec that automates this process end to end.

At the core of the platform is an agentic workflow powered by OpenAI and Gemini: AI-driven process steps from BOM submission through to finished customer quote, with human input only where it genuinely matters. The project is a hands-on example of the AI Process Automation service Turbine Kreuzberg develops and delivers for mid-market B2B companies.

All AI decisions run on amec's master data record covering parts, suppliers, pricing, and historical transactions. The platform surfaces confidence scores, partner performance data, and margin transparency in real time. What used to disappear into inboxes now forms the basis for every decision.

Torben Sprick, Authorized Signatory at amec: “What has changed is not just the speed – it's the transparency. We can now see which partners really perform on which components, where margins are, where risks are. That's information that used to disappear into emails. Now we make decisions based on data, not gut feeling.”

AI projects don't fail at the tech stage. They fail after. At amec, we've built from day one for what matters beyond a proof of concept: fallback mechanisms between models, LLM cost control, human-in-the-loop. That's how you build AI integration that lasts.
